Just got laid off, scared about the future
I just got laid off from my startup, they said they are shutting down my department have been slowly releasing everybody from my team and this time it was my turn. What do i do? I am too scared of not finding any job. Will it have bad impression on my career?
Been there. I totally understand how you must be feeling. Hang in there - use the time to upskill. Keep looking for a job but don’t let it consume you. Remember - searching for job is like a job (although unpaid). So set up fixed time during the day when you would apply.
I had divided my “working hours” into three parts: time to apply for jobs; time to upskill; and time to work on/prepare points about my existing CV

Just prepare and you'll get a new job, if not in days/weeks then months, but you don't have a choice. Just keep at it.
