This whole "follow your passion" is bad advice and propaganda by the rich.

We are working class people. We cannot afford to follow our "passions". Only a few get that lucky break. It is a recipe for disaster.

Just remember, the person joined IT because he had the "passion". Study culinary arts in Australia?.. why what's wrong in India?. Rasoi ka kaam , melbourne mein kyun? Raigad mein koi katha nahi kya?

I blame Tv and movies for this nonsense.

After doing some research on where I can get value for my degree, performance, and future opportunities, and now that I’ve come to India, I would like to avoid drama here.

Here, people do things just to get noticed by society or to seek attention. That’s why I want to avoid drama in my life and live peacefully, staying low-key and unknown.

If this is you, your plan sounds fantastic! I dont know if you have the funds. I hope you have just enough to start. Rest figure out once you reach australia. There are people who don't even know what to do if they left IT. You are lucky and prepared enough to be driven like that!

Go for it!
