You are getting underpaid. I can confirm as I have joined tcs as data engineer with 4 years of experience with 14.3 ctc

You should try to get outside offers. You will at least get 12-13 lpa depending on company

A very common scenario you see in TCS

Very normal in every company. If you feel you are underpaid just switch to another company

I'm working as plsql developer in citi project ,so if I want to switch as a data engineer what skills do I need to learn further

Bro just leave the job and look for other opportunities. Am a fresher joined a month ago with 11.5 lpa in tcs. Don't hesitate to find better opportunities.

Data engineering is happening technology, you can try wings to increase your package.. You will get 20% to 40% increase once you clear the wings.. Some even got 80% hike, 2nd option is promotion which will get you 15% hike... 3rd option is you can discuss with your manager and HR about your salary revision if they feel that you are important resource in project they will surely consider it... Since you are old timer try your luck for onsite opportunity. . Last option is to get a new offer and resign but you can work above options and parallel ly search for good offers outside
