Joining Tomorrow, But a Better Offer Might Be Coming in a week – Need Advice!

I’m supposed to join a company tomorrow, but I’m also expecting a better offer from another company (which I’d prefer), though it’s not confirmed yet. I don’t want to miss out on either opportunity.

Is it okay to join the current company for a few days or a week and then leave if the better offer comes through? Or would that be considered absconding and hurt me later?

Is there any smarter or cleaner workaround here? Would really appreciate some advice. Feeling quite stuck.

Did it. Served for 3 days. Told them the reason. They were fine to let me go. No strings attached.

The only con would be they won't hire you again.

I was stuck in similar problem and one of my relatives was serious and I had to travel to hometown for 1 week. If you know what I mean.😁 And then I decided which company to join.
