Trending @Capgemini; Joining CG Pune end of June
Hi all, moving to Pune CG in June. I am being hired as a Team Lead on Level B2. The HR seems quite harsh and not clear with her communication. Scenario is that my client and team and based in Calcutta, but I have been hired to work from Pune, so my question is will I be working in silo by myself from office? Plus whoever is from Pune location CG, pls hit me up! Happy to make new contacts!

Being in the organisation for more than 10 years and overall 17 yrs as IT experience. Currently I am program manager by designation I have very simple advice to you that get your role definition clear with your respective HR. In B2 grade you are expected to deliver with quality independently. Yes, you can lead or guide other team members but you should be independently deliver first your assigned deliverable. B2 and C1 are part of major independent contributor.

Do you think that HR provides that much clarity or do they themselves have that. Those clarifications should come from the technical team. Even in any organization the role definition keeps on changing as per the project and client requirement. @FrenchBlend1 just be motivated, ready to face new challenges, learn, mentor and grow.
There are a lot of people from pune i guess.

Grade B2 is Consultant, is itself a team lead role, but don't expect anything other than its name.
Gread C1 is Senior Consultant, you can easily realise that if the role of team lead will be for Consultant or Senior Consultant.
I know many of the people having Senior Consultant roles (C1) they are also just team contributors.
You will be aligned to the project in which you have to do anything as per your manager.
Note: forget about appraisals and promotions. And don't expect anything on the basis of your roles and grades.

My designation is manager but my role is senior software engineer and I am an individual contributor in my team. My team is also not from Pune , everyone is from different locations and I work all alone from the capg pune location. So in Capgemini, you will mostly be a kind of individual contributor irrespective of your designation.

How's the work from office situation man? Is it mandatory we have to go 3 times a week, and is it like a punch in situation and then come back home? Or mandatory to be in office? Additionally, is it like 12 days anytime in the month?
Maybe we can catch up once I'm in Pune, what location do you work at?

It doesn't matter where your team is and from which location your other team mates are working. Team members are connected with MS teams, whenever there is meeting/ call, they join from MS teams.
And you can go to the office as per your preferred location accordingly

I don’t suggest to join in CG. Try offer shopping if you have time

If you have another offer then go for that
Did they apply 3 months notice on day of joining or after 6 months . Basically if it's OK same day you will start loosing ur 70 pcnt opportunities on day one ND if you don't get any project finally you will loose ur skillet as well
