Trending @Accenture; Joining Accenture was a mistake
I joined Accenture after my college and I'm currently depressed/struggling mentally with the extent of how much I hate to work here.
Out of everyone I know across my friends who are in consulting/services firms, nobody feels their work is as shitty as much as I do here at Accenture. I genuinely feel incredibly misled relative to what was promised. Promised not only by the company, but also my seniors, society etc.
I'm so burnt out, being forced on to crap projects despite constant networking, and I feel further and further βtrappedβ in to the broader job market and the misaligned βskillsetβ I'm developing.
Does anyone have any advice/thoughts? I'm close to quitting and going unemployed.

You haven't mentioned how many years in Accenture. Accenture is the best place for freshers and the way Accenture work, culture, core values everything is the best. Still if you are fed up with Accenture. Just upgrade yourself and search for the company which you like with the experience you gained. If you depressed and quitting is not a solution. Get the job in other company and leave.

Are you kidding or from HR?

I can literally feel you, I'm in the same position as you but my frnd also joined here in Accenture after her graduation she feel super happy. But one thing for sure your life and the happiness depends on your colleagues she has best seniors working with her and we have the bad ones that's it.

Seems same story with everyone in Accenture.I really want to know the reason why "Some People" say that Accenture is the beat company. Bro come out of shell and look outside. Accenture is day by day becoming the worst company I feel,i repeat literally the worst.

It's not the company, it's the people lead teammates managers around you. I got a hike after 1 yr of joining and was in a project for 6-7 months and was doing just minimal things.

Partially correct,in a city where Jurisdiction is compromised, chances are Crime rate will get spiked up.
Btw,do u feel happy by just doing minimal things? π

I also joined Accenture as fresher and I disagree. As a fresher, Accenture don't expect much from you. Even you don't perform, you will get same hikes and promotions for first 2 years and everyone else. and burnout? Most people I know in accenture have decent work life balance. There are never ending training you can choose to upskill yourself too.
On the bad side, accenture might not give you enough work and you might feel you are not contributing much even if you are on project.

Somehow survive till next hike cycle and then make the switch.
Going jobless is not a good idea in this market.
Try to find happiness through other means in life my friend. For me sports works a lot well

Worst company ever π

Maybe your project is shitty... try changing projects or switch...but actually Accenture is really good I joined Infosys as a fresher and trust me Infosys is way worse they don't even give proper salary and work load is immense they expect the world from freshers
When I see freshers in my project they're just chilling if we put them in Infosys they will start crying

Comparing worse with worst doesnβt make Accenture a good place. There are many other product based companies with better work and culture

Can you share your experience in Accenture, your actual skill set and what skill you are made to work on.

I am not from HR group. I am just an employee last 10 years

Believe me , employees at every level feel this in Accenture except leadership. It is such a crap because of the people leadership . They are just show off and talkative people .. good for nothing

Accenture is a good place to work, atleast for a fresher. If you are feeling this way may be because you are not in a right project or good management, try to change to a different project
