Jobs in Embedded Systems

I am working as a full time embedded software engineer in a startup from the last 2 years at 5 LPA. The startup headcount is 20.

I am currently working on my skills to switch.

Is it true that there is low pay in this field? Or am I missing something? Please comment your advice.
