I've been working for more than a year now at my current org and want to switch due to the poor support and management and no learning opportunities, that said I'm very much interested in FE dev(not just for short term, but I want to make it as a career in the long term as well) and have been learning(good ol React, html-css, js/ts) from the past 2 years and have built some projects and a portfolio. Now comes the job market, straight up rejecting me mercilessly(I did get shortlisted in a few, but both ended up ghosting me afterwards), this has been going on for a few months now. I am lost thinking what to do now 🥲, please fellow FE devs and devs in general guide me with your wisdom
Yeah I agree, the job market is the same for everyone else. Same feeling as you.
I would say don't worry and wait for Q1 of 2024 when the new year budget will be prepared by companies and might start hiring again.
