Job switch - Oracle to Infosys

Hi..

I am an Oracle Consultant (Principal Consultant) working in Functional domain and have got 4.5 years of experience and my current CTC is 14.5lpa.

Recently, I appeared for Infosys interview and have got selected and have my HR round scheduled. Probably they would be asking my expectations and other things.

I request for your insight as in how much shall I ask for as hike and also what is it generally like for Infosys HR round?

Thanks in advance 🙂

TCS .to Infosys - is it a good move? CCTC- 18.31. Infosys is offering 27.5. Worth joining Infosys? I am looking for growth and learning.

I understand I need it too but you are still young in your career try to get into better companies than infy prep for tougher interviews, they will mostly offer you 40-50% hike out of which 15-20% will be taken by them as variable which is a legit scam by infy to hold your ctc more so, don't waste your good profile on this right now choose better companies wait for it, down the line after few more years like 8-10 then come here and settle down.

He is a consultant there, where work is more or less the same as Infosys. So switching from Oracle to Infosys is not a big thing. It's just an Oracle's brand name making it a product based kind of reputation but work and work culture is the same as WITCH companies.

As a principal consultant, you are underpaid, try to get in a product company only

Don't switch to any service company. Aim product companies, preferably better than oracle. If money is needed badly, go to startups

Yours is a service based profile. Infy is a good option. Meanwhile, Try to give interviews in other similar companies.

You won’t find opportunities in product based companies with your current skill set.

Downgrading yourself , not a good move, unless fancy package and perks but again not advisable

Try Big4. They hire a lot for this role. I'm an Oracle Tech Consultant.

I think you should ask in between 25-30 because it is standard pay for the principal consultant at Infosys.
