Job security at TCS
I have been hired by TCS at higher pay for a project, where as other employees in my team and tcs in other projects are half of my current salary..
- is it safe to stay in TCS?
- Suppose if they release me from project due to budget issues and I don't find any other projects as I'm on the higher ctc for this role?
- Will tcs force resign me if there are no project for that budget?

Team members Salary is usually not known to their managers officially. So do not share your correct salary. Show that you are under paid... No need to worry. During allocation to protect, they will be aware of your grade line C2/C3/C4 against which pre defined budgeted amount is mentioned in system. Then need to consider that while taking you in project, and not your salary. Don't share the salary details to them
So managers are not aware of the employees salary? Also if they remove from project will tcs allow to upskill and move into different projects instead of forcing to resign
You can always upskill yourself. No Boundation. If business case justified as per project requirement, then project can sponsor one certificate in each quarter. If not justified, then you can do so on your own cost. In case your current project ends, you will be with RMG team , who will help you in finding project. You may require to be more flexible to move into different tech stack or different location in case you do not get any project for few months. If u remain flexible then chances are less of forced resign
Manager knows your package always, my manager and his manager have been sarcastically taunting me since long time infront of other team members that I am on a high package even more than theirs. To kar lete na bhai switch kis ne bola tha ek hi company mein 20 saal rehne ko. It is just the jealousy of my high package that they have left no stone unturned to harass me in the project. Sick of this shitty company and toxic work culture.
Dont celebrate brother.. This legendary company is known to give bad appraisal and reduce salary as well..😂😂 Maybe the only company where your salary curve can have negative slope as well 😂😂
Because there are a sufficient pool of capable ones.
