JOB SEARCH RANT. TLDR; HRs are dementors
I have 3 yoe. I had been interviewing with a company for a React.js role, and I'm a immediate joiner because the startup I was working for has not paid salaries for 3 months and one day these guys decided to tell all their employees that they won't be able to pay salaries and asked everybody to look for jobs.
After applying to every job that I could. One company interviewed me, where I had mentioned a 40% hike. After the first 2 technical rounds, the HR scheduled the 3rd round on the same day as the 2nd round, and the HR mentioned that they could give a 30% hike, to which I agreed. After this, they conducted another 2 rounds, and the HR shamelessly congratulated me with the offer that he was giving a 10% hike.
I was an immediate joiner without any fault of mine. These ambitionless HRs are seeing immediate joiners as their step to improve their salaries. Just tired and frustrated of looking for any more jobs. F***ing giving up on being an engineer.

If you have call recording or anything in written about your expectations that they initially agreed to, just throw that on their face and ask them to stick to what they agreed to and be a good fckin human.
If they say they cant even with proof that you shared, just thank them for interview opportunity and tell him that he'll become famous on internet soon. Then go on to publicly shame blame him on LinkedIn and everywhere. Tag the company as well. Don't let them get away. Destroy such bastards when you have the opportunity
