Job Search in current market for a PM

Profile- 4 YOE, B.Tech from old IIT I started looking for new roles towards the end of June, and it took me approximately two months to get an offer letter. My skillset in a niche technical area helped me to get this offer. My advice to folks looking for a job, focus on your strengths and do not get discouraged. It's brutal out there, but you need only one job. Stay focused.

Mine is a Data Scientist/Software. Engineer kind of role with focus on both areas. I can, and have developed end to end products cross cutting both. Been thinking the same thing: Resign -> 2 week break -> Strengthen Core Skills -> Build apps on random ideas -> Explore new skills -> Start looking for interesting roles(focus around big tech) I want to give myself a 2-3 month break to do this.

Hi can we please connect. I've been looking for jobs for 1.8 years now and have never received any response from the positions I've applied to. I have received over 7000 rejections. I did tailor my resume as per JD, applied to 12-15 jobs a day initially. But as time went by I got desperate and started applying to jobs other than those in product management. I've only received calls from naukri but that was until last year.. Now I'm not receiving any calls, idk why. I did clear interviews with Morgan Stanley, Nielsen, Upland, Value Labs, and was promised an offer letter. But I never received an offer and after months of follow-up the companies stated that the position has been cancelled or filled internally and then ghosted and stopped responding. How did you land a job in such a short time. When I was in college, I never landed an internship as well. I didn't get placed from college. I applied to many positions but never received any calls. All the jobs I landed were through Naukri. I've got my resume reviewed multiple times. Changed format, changed whole resume, each word of resume as well, I've just never been shortlisted. How are people getting calls and getting shortlisted. I only receive "we have moved forward with another candidate" email and the positions still remain open. Idk can you please please help.

Whats the niche technical area? And was that helpful in the final offer/interviews?

The niche technical area is trading systems. I have a good in and out knowledge of it so I don’t have much competition in the final rounds, and the interview turns into more of a vibe check.
