That's pretty common when you don't understand stuff properly. Try to get an abstract overview of project what is happening, why certain things are done in way they are done. Overtime you will start understanding things better than automatically you gain interest.

Seems like you are new grad! Would suggest spend Atleast 6 months as understanding the whole system, work takes time.
On what parameters are u deciding it's not made for you?
