Job + Preperation causing Energy Drain

I’m a 25M working in a service-based MNC with ~2 years of experience. I’ve been working on backend development for the first time in my career, but to be honest, I’ve never enjoyed coding — not even once.

Last year, I prepared for CAT seriously. But just when I needed to double down (in the last month before the exam), my workload at the job suddenly shot up. I couldn’t give my best and messed it up.

This year, I started again. But it feels like déjà vu. I’m now working on a completely new backend tech stack, trying to learn everything from scratch while still being expected to deliver. I log out around 8 PM every day, and then study from 9 PM to 1 AM — but it’s not enough. Topics keep piling up. Questions go unsolved. It feels like I’m drowning again.

This cycle of working all day, studying late, and still feeling behind — I don’t know how long I can take it. I’m physically and mentally drained. It’s like I’m failing at both ends.

Try asking for release and be in bench & prepare for CAT.

I thought for a rolle off but internal projects won't release you unless resignation. And I have no Plan-B what if I fail again
