Trending @Infosys; JL5 to JL6 Promotion.

Is it a bad idea to ask for a promotion from JL5 to JL6? I heard that getting promoted from JL5 to JL6 will reduce the in-hand salary, and in the coming years, the hike percentage will also be lower.

Which unit?? It depends on total YoE but also varies from unit to unit.

Minimum 15 years of exp required for JL6 as per my knowledge

Totally unrelated I got a promotion through ijp in 24 oct next year may I think I can apply for ijp from 5b to 5a will there be any sal change or is there any other process and should I be in my current Proj or move to new one
