How does promotion from tech lead to manager happen ? How long do we need to work ? Whats the salary hike ?how much to expect ?
Its forever thing.from jl5to 6, minimun 4-10years.. Even you get jl6, its not necessary that u will get manager work. There are many jl6 in infosys who are waiting from years(3-7 years), to start thr manager work. Salary hike is pathetic at jl6 level. Least among job level. One time promotional hike, it used to be around 18-20%. Now only 8-12%.

Jl5 and above max salary for promotion is 15% while 9% being lowest. There is no limit on no of years from jl5 to 6 i know people waiting for more than 10 years
I have 12 YOE, still serving as JL5 Senior Consultant, It's already been 2.3 year in Infosys.
Hike anywhere between 10–20% depending on how long you have been on JL5. Some JL5 will earn more than JL6, if experience is significantly more than JL6. Rare but happens. Rest details below.
