What's the criteria to get promoted to JL5? How soon one can be promoted to JL5 considering the rating is OS
I'm an lateral employee, got progression after completing one year from AC to SAC and I'm about to complete 2 years in Infosys
The quickest way (after having served 2 years in your current role) is to have earned OS or CD rating consistently. In rare cases, they also do promote consistent performers before the 2-year mark but that would be a rarity, especially for JL5.
Ultimately, it also depends on the slots they have open for the given quarter to promote employees to JL5. If there are 2 slots but 4 employees due for promotion to JL5 then it could also depend on how hard your manager fights for you (provided you have given them enough material to make a case for you).
