Trending @Infosys; JL5 expectations

Hello guys

I am working as a consultant (JL5) As per Infy standards JL5 should be getting somewhere between 15-17 LPA if am not wrong But all our team members are getting paid around 10LPA is this something because of project management or because of the domain which we are working Can someone please explain Thanks.

Yes it is between 15 to 17 LPA if you join Infy from outside, on JL5 band.
But if you are promoted within Infy to JL5 and were earlier getting low pay (which is most likely) or have joined from outside where you were getting low pay then Infy won't match 15 to 17 LPA Standard.

Infy don't match or follow pay scale given outside. Also they don't care much on revising pay structure to bring people into band. I have seen so laterals joined at jl4 offered between 12 lpa to 17lpa working as a fullstack and cloud data role.

I know so many like us are underpaid compared to skill we have. Only option we have is to switch.

I totally agree, i have 5+ Front end dev, 13LPA, my junior earns 15.

I was promoted through the IJP to JL5 and they gave me only 12% of the hike. So, after the hike I'm getting paid around 8 LPA. where my junior paid around 15 to 20 LPA. So, i put my papers.

Good decision. can’t compromise salary with culture

What do you mean by Infy standards ? You should compare with the market standards for that respective role.

I partially agree with you
Because each company will have their kind of pay

There is no one standard for all infy or any other company. There are consultants from 11L all the way up-to 23L. All depends on your skill set , lateral or not, MBA or not, how long you have been a consultant, your previous job/role salary etc etc etc. if you are in cloud/analytic/so/ml/automation related units you will be paid higher normal unit will be lower .
