IITians won't let you forget that they are special and want special treatment because they cleared a written exam 1 or 2 decades back.
Sad fact is nost of the talented people would choose money over research. (Just one example)How many IITians go to ISRO ? If the talented folks are not interested, country will stay as it has been always.
ISRO pays less than stupid startups in HSR, why would talented people join? ISRO could pay more / at par.
