Java vs golang suggestion

Hi everyone, I’ve been working as a Java developer for nearly 5 years, mainly on enterprise-level applications. Around 6 months ago, I joined IBM, where my current project is completely in Golang.

Now, I’m at a bit of a crossroads. While I’m fairly comfortable with Java and have built my career around it, I’ve been enjoying learning and working with Golang too. However, I’m unsure what would be the better long-term path for my career:

Should I continue focusing on Java, which is well-established, mature, and still in high demand in many large organizations?

Or should I double down on Golang, since it’s gaining traction in modern cloud-native, microservices, and DevOps-related projects?
