Trending @Accenture; I've a question-

Finally the day I am expecting it to come already. I am into PIP. Even though I have worked hard and am getting peanuts for my hard work. The hard work is lost against the bajans as always. The manager's feedback is the finale to get into PIP.Now I need to learn how to do bajan without working hard. If you have good communication skills to impress the manager then you grow but not with the technical skills and other analytical skills always they are the least priority. As if you can't speak up then other teammates can easily take your credits and get promoted. You need to always talk and tell about the things you never did and claim that you did it all yourself. This is the way IT is working as said by most of the people. Even though you are not that type you need to change otherwise you can't survive in IT. This is the bitter truth. HR people never contact you neither about your wellbeing nor about your hard work to appreciate you at least they never had a word with you when you are getting into PIP. They simply listen to manager feedback without asking a question they will put you into PIP. They don't care whether you have been targeted or got the wrong feedback against you. They never see the got commits the code you have implemented the performance you have improved the code quality you have maintained in fact they simply don't care about all these.

I faced the similar. I am a fresher and was put into PIP recently. Neither the HR nor the manager listened. I was mentally harassed for 8 months and then laid off. My mental and physical health suffered a lot and this was my first company. Currently I'm jobless and looking outside but due to less experience in my techstack, I'm in not even getting interview calls. I worked so hard and for 12 hrs, but they kept harassing me mentally and now I'm jobless.

Yes I can feel you. The main thing we need to learn is smartwork, no hard work alone wins in IT. You need to pro active. I am very silent in nature and calmly do the work. That didn't worked in my case. Even though you worked or not you need to be a active speaker. Smart enough to convince the other people that you did a great work as they won't see the git commits or the jira tickets you resolved or the code quality you have improved. They just listen they don't have time to see your hardwork frankly. Be an active speaker compromise your self ethics when needed. Otherwise the same thing will gets repeated.

Managers ,Hr all are gone through this stage when they are freshers like us they must have faced situation like this but when they bcm manager they just forgot how they grown up. It's very difficult to find good people managers and project in IT only lucky people will get.

You just prepare and improve your skills and apply for job ask for referrals in LinkedIn reach out to people. Which domain you are working?if in full stack or any programming language practice in hacker rank ,hacker earth or leet code.

Only working hard is not sufficient in IT we also need to prove that we worked. If you are sending mail need to add manager in CC also the manager of other team whom we are sending. If our communication is not good and if we are not communicating properly some other people will take credits for our work. If we don't get good manager we never get recognized for our hardworks and will demotivate us to not work. But you don't worry bro you are in wrong project. May be in future you will get good project and good manager. Just because someone is not appreciating you or just because someone is not appreciating for your work don't demotivate your self and don't stop working hard that's not your real character you are here to give your 100% just give your 100% definitely some day someone will appreciate you don't lose your hope. Just work hard and showcase your skill improve your skills. If you are not happy with project ask for project change or else just switch company.

Without thinking twice, start looking outside, the same thing happens with one of my colleague, and just after 2 months they asked him to resign as he did not clear the PIP..they put the pressure...crazy process.
