I don't know why they write it as a big decision. My earlier VP (lady) had told in one of our meeting that her husband did not work for 10 years to raise the kid because her career path was on a better trajectory. I don't think her husband would write such things anywhere. I don't believe anywhere rich to American standards. Same with a few other middle managers in America I know. It was just a apart of life for them
