I'm new to BLR. 4 months.
I feel most IT folks here share the same set of personalities.
Almost every person I see is interested in Books, Video games, Board games, Football and F1. Or many other nerdy/geeky hobbies. Sometimes add UFC to the list as well.
It's like you all are the same person in different bodies.
When I go in depth with conversation, I can honestly see only few know their stuff and most of them are just pretentious nerds for the sake of their jobs or the westernised culture (or any other reason). But most of you just fake it.
You guys suck.
Why so many things are mainstream here?

It's disgusting that you look down on people. I'd suggest cultivating some humility and active interests before you start shitting on others.
Books, video games, movies and sports are literally the biggest media for consumption. What do you do that's so different?
What's your point ? 😅 No offence but it felt more like some rant than a logical post. The People I know are interested in TT, swimming, cards, outings, watching content, going for stand-ups or concerts, joining random workshops to explore their artistic side, clubbing, books and board games (Oops, you were correct at SOMETHING 👏)

Generalizing and mainstream interests go hand in hand. Don't know what your point is.
The entire point of niche hobbies is that they are niche. Go find those people, or better yet, rather than spending time making this post, you should have spoken about your niche hobby. Maybe you'd find someone who has the same.
Also, the set of interests you've mentioned sound awesome.
