
Issue with EPFO website
I am completely frustrated with the EPFO website. It almost never works properly. When I try to log in, it fails around 70% of the time. Even the basic login to the application is extremely difficult. If I try to reset my password, that doesn’t work. If I try to change my email ID, that also doesn’t work. The entire EPFO website seems broken. I genuinely cannot understand whether it is designed this way or if there are serious technical bugs — but nothing works properly. Even simple actions like changing password, updating email, or just logging into my account are very difficult. The site is always showing some error or system issue.
Apart from website problems, I also faced issues with my EPFO transfer request. I wanted to transfer my COVID-19 fund money from the Infosys Private Trust to my EPFO account. A few weeks back, I emailed my Infosys team and requested them to initiate the transfer. They responded and confirmed that they had initiated the transfer.
But then my transfer request was cancelled by an EPFO official. The EPFO agent rejected the request and gave the following reason:
“No EPF contribution from the company. Please clarify with the document.” or “No pension fund or EPF contribution from the employee. Please provide supporting documents.”
I immediately forwarded this rejection reason to my Infosys team and asked them to provide the required documents. But they have not replied. I sent the email on Saturday or Sunday, and today is Wednesday, but I still have not received any response.
Now, again, when I am trying to log in to the EPFO website, I am unable to do so. It keeps showing system errors. I cannot even change my EPFO password. A few days ago, when I tried to update my email ID in EPFO, even that did not work.
I genuinely do not understand what the issue is with EPFO — why nothing works on the website, and why requests keep getting rejected without clear resolution.
