Is WFO mandatory in TCS?

I received an offer from TCS, I'm considering joining them but my only concern is that in TCS WFO is mandatory and weekly 5 days we have to go to office. Is this 100% mandatory or not, also what would happen if we go only 3 days to office a week??

I am waiting for offer letter from Capgemini I don't know why they're halting it. Tcs offering me better salary than what I'm currently receiving at Infosys so that's why decided to join TCS. If I get the Capgemini offer then I would simply join them as they have hybrid working model compare to TCS

Yes it is mandatory. If you dont go to office they will deduct salary and not give appraisal and promotions.

But they won't terminate employment right??

Yes, as per current policy they won't terminate but they are planning to give d band to those who don't spend time in office. D band will result in reduction in salary by 15-20 percent. TCS is only mnc where salary can get reduced during appraisal.

Better check compensation letter thoroughly, tcs is very smart playing with the offer components

Most of us are going 5 days a week ever since 2024 started. But now in 2025, everything has gotten stricter and they're forcing us to go otherwise be ready to get low salary (no bonus etc) ๐Ÿค

No hikes at all 5 days 9 hrs wfo You miss wfo even one day - your variable allowance suffers. No regard to your mental well-being. No one listens to your concerns even when you agree to fulfill all their damned criteria from your nearest office location. No regard for for choice of project or career aspirations. No promotions. Uncles imposing all the idiotic and irrelevant rules. But please, do come to TCS coz we are building with belief

They mentioned this in my offer letter. What does this mean? Will they reduce my salary post joining
