Is water purifier AMC worth?
I recently bought an AO Smith water purifier and got discounted AMC rate upto 90 days. But it’s 5,750₹ for 1 year. Should I buy? (It’ll start post 1 year of free AMC)

To add to what @ElonTusk said, you may also consider the hardness of tap water. If it's not that bad, you might be able to pull off getting an AMC once every two or three years. And getting your filters and consumables changed then.

Bathing water is hard, so I presume it’s the same case for drinking water pipeline. Source TDS is 330-450 so not sure if it is good indicator of hardness as well but I definitely needed RO

<600 you don't really need an RO. UV/NF works best for those TDS levels Peore has some good products for this range

Not sure about the price in Bangalore. But AMC is a must if you have RO. Trust me something will go wrong atleast once a year and its parts are very expensive. Having a AMC gives you a peace of mind that even if something goes wrong they'll fix it.
But do check with them first, what all is covered in the maintenance. It should also cover the change of filter atleast once a year, or twice a year.

All electrical, functional parts and filters/Consumables + 1 PM Service. Not covered: Plastic, cosmetic parts and exterior finish. And if failure due to plumbing or usage of pressure pump, extension of power supply, etc.
Yes, it’s RO. Thanks, thinking of purchasing for 2 year given the high cost and discounted rate (a bit) now - 10,750₹
