Its not just about amount of work ..its more about the experience you carry, the maturity you will have, the situations that you have faced , different perspectives you have to handle.. you get paid for that ..not for the hours of work ..
CEO and freshers both have 24 hours only in a day .. but salary will not be comparable ..
Personally i feel there are days and month when i am paid much more than i worked and eventually there are months when i have worked 10 times of what i am paid... So its all averaged out .. be happy and satisfied with whatever you have .. life is always fair but only in long run..
If you are working in India you are earning less and spending more for everything..!
