Paper money is not cash, it's notional. Stocks are also notional unless you are able to sell it. You don't pay tax on unrealised profits on stocks right?that's notional. ESOPs are not liquid and do not have value as price discovery has not happened yet (valuation given by VC/PE is not value discovery). Valuation is vanity, cash is sanity.

I see these kind of mocking posts about engineers all the time. Ye wala yo surely attention seeking account ki taraf se fake h.
But addressing the sentiment. Why is it surprising? Clearly its not to do with the money, but intent. It’s just incredibly dumb to expect others to need the same ‘furniture’/‘luxury’ be happy as one person.
A tech equivalent of this meme would be a woman with all the best accessories and a cheap phone/laptop.
Ikr it's very common mocking posts for engineers surpisrsed how it's new for everyone including people here on GV which i would assume would be more internet savvy, but guess they are not maybe maybe my hunch is that people who earn high in India aren't that internet savvy cause they were studying all their life to get those good jobs
