
Is this compensation fair?
I recently received, offer of 11LPA from deloitte usi. For Data Engineering Consultant. My current fixed at TCS is around 3.85LPA. Should ai aim for higher? I plan to switch in 1.5 - 2 years Any input would be helpful

Average SDE-2 salaries normally start from 22- 25 lacs minimum(also depends on companies). Your company is looking at your previous salary to offer a compensation which is wrong.
You can join at this salary and switch after 6 months, that way the next company will offer you based on 11 lacs.

I plan to stay atleast for an year to avoid being viewed as job hopper. Also I am aiming for Brand for stronger protfolio. Thank you for your advice. I will try to get atleast around 20LPA by 4yoe

You're lowballing yourself. I did the same mistake, now I'm regretting when I see my peers' salary.
With 4 yoe, ask for 30 lpa minimum. Make sure you've the skills.

To be frank, this might be a bit less. However, taking into account your current CTC is very low for 3 years, you should join at 11lpa.
Make a switch within an year. Aim for 20+lpa for 4 years and 25+lpa for 5 years. This is my personal view. Others may have different experience. Research well.
