Is there layoffs planned for Tata Elxsi?

I've heard that Elxsi is requiring everyone to take an internal test and will terminate anyone who doesn't score at least 40%. Is this true?

They're not officially calling it a layoff. Instead, it appears they're using an exam to trim the workforce. A few of my friends have confirmed this. It seems like a subtle way of avoiding the term "layoff."

Tata Elxsi is a design and technology-based company based out of Bangalore. It is doing quite well with forecasted earnings of 13.1% and revenue of 12.2% per annum, respectively.
