Is there anything you wish you knew before joining TCS?
Me? I wish I knew about the fact that I could work harder than my colleague but he would do bootlicking to get promoted faster than I ever would. π€‘

I wish I knew they can take a U turn on their own proud announcement of 25:25 model

@Nobodyg U-turn? They will do whatever it takes to do the PR externally but internally we all know that this company is rotting away.

What do you mean by rotting away

Join TCS after 40-45 years of age

@TheVillain Yes. Join at that age and then coast till retirement.

@TheVillain I joined as a fresher and screwed up my career πβοΈ

Agar aap bahot mehnti he, aur kam acche se karte ho to aap ko TCS join karne ki zarurat nai he..
Yaha pe sab nalle pade hue he and kisiko kuch kaam nahi krna he.. It's like "Andheri Nagri and My Gandu Manager, Take sher bhaji and take sher Khaja"

@gen_X It is actually oh so true man. I know someone who spent last entire year on bench excpet 2 months of project.

I'm leading a team and in my team they assign me a total of 5 people, and none of them wants to work. Now I'm doing my own work and all 5 people work also...
I escalated to my manager and I clearly told him that "it's not taking 1 week to write for a loop in python" but my GANDU MANAGER thinks that to write a single for loop in python will take 1 week πππ so this is how everyone is working in my project.
My manager also knows that it's not taking 1 week to write a single for loop but still he gives a 4.3 ipf rating to that person who is taking 1 week to write for loop.
So now I have also stopped the work and I'm also taking 1 week to write single for loop now. ππ

Yes a very important fact that for 1st year you wont get hike so negotiate carefully if you are lateralπ€¦π»ββοΈ

@BetterMast0 Exactly. That is why join when you are 45 and then coast till retirement.

Still that sucks!!!

I wish I knew it was a big clusterfuck; Its a retirement home, as a 3-5 experienced this place is the deepest shithole you can put yourself into; I wish I knew how to make a time machine, I wish I would have tried my luck with all the other offers I had at the time.

@Kratos1 It is not too late. I personally feel that joining an early stage company would be much better than doing all the ridiculuous things I have to do here.

80% Freshers I meet are on bench for a year and a half or more, I had conversation about project release, but I know things wont change anywhere else anyways, I am almost at the end; I will leave soon.

I wish I knew Tcs Should be the last company you join.

@Sam11 TCS should be the last company to join ever lol.

Well yes, these days they are just good for securing a big package and sitting on your behind with average performance and enjoy life. You cannot expect growth here.

I wish I knew my project allocation before joining TCS.

@Tcser_GB That is rarely possible tbh.

They won't lick only their boots ... Apart from that ----- too they do ..

@Vij I know about that. I have heard of multiple stories involving a certain manager getting caught with certain freshers.

I wish I knew TCS stood for 'Torture Chamber of Slaves'. Bootlicking? That's the corporate ladder's grease. Kya aapko yeh pata tha?

@Codex Because all they want are people who will come and just act like slaves in this company.

Yes, that my father's business is better than this shit

@CleanRoute2 Anyday man. This company is just so shitty yuck.
