Nope. No benefits for just being female. However, senior citizens whether male or female have different tax slabs which is understandable.

Gender biased taxation would be totally illogical and absurd.

Gender biased taxation is totally illogical, fine. But what about free bus tickets to women, free income to women, free smartphones for women, free scooters for women? Looking at these, they probably would’ve made gender biased taxation too but it wouldn’t get them enough votes so they stopped.

We had gender biased taxation till a few years ago. Women had a higher exemption slab. But it was silently removed when the BJP govt came to power. Now income tax dept uses that Gender radiobutton just for statistics.
