Is TCS a good option to join?

Hi all, if anyone is from TCS, please let me know how the work culture is, project practices and how many days it is required to go to the office. I currently have 3 years of experience.

No please don't join tcs with 3 yoe. You will be trapped in service based. Try to gain experience in product based industry.

Worked there for 4+ years

Compared to infy what u can expect as advantage is leave policies and health insurance .

If you are interested to go all 5 days to office then u will enjoy orelse it will be like hell

In terms of learning - u will get linkedin , udemy for free

Minimal of 2 to 4% hike for C band - is assured every year and percentage varies based on performance max expect 10% for A band…..

Project wise no difference .

Once left tcs cannot join back .

Now ur choice to select tcs . But its a good company of we join after 15+ yrs of exp ( to settle there till retirement)

Join tcs at the end of your career. Tcs is just like a government job. Even if you are on the bench for an year, no termination. But other companies terminate if you are on bench for three months. For job security, you can join tcs. Once left from tcs, you cannot join again

Health insurance is good. Leaves are plenty. And if your manager is good, workload would be manageable! One big con is really pathetic hikes, and no transparency in the appraisal process. Additionally you might be stuck in some toxic project with a boomer mentality manager who would suck the life out of your work.
