Is pip initiation compulsory after lwp taken due to medical reasons

Hi folks, Is pip initiated by manager for an employee who was on lwp due to medical conditions for 3 to 4 months ,and joins back after leaves end. Does the manager have authority to apply pip to that employee?

No, nobody can initiate pip, lwp has nothing to do with pip. PIP happens if you decline every project offered to you if you are on bench and that too ,pip threats occur....nowadays D bands come with pip...
