Yes it is mandatory to attend and if you don't pass then after a few weeks there will be able option to retake the test. Or else you can check your weighted score if that is more than the threshold score that means you passed overall and the retake option will not come. To see the weighted score you will have the ocean link in the mails you can check it from there.
