Is my salary good enough?
I am a 28 YO from Bengaluru. I got an offer for the role of Content Lead at 20.5 LPA from a relatively known company. I don't have an MBA, I've had to work hard to get here (my family had financial problems while I was growing up). My first salary in 2019 was 30K per month. I'm worried that I'm falling behind among peers my age and that I won't be able to live the life I want. I know that folks in the tech space probably get paid double the salary at my age.

If you compare from social media. Its all hype. Mostly you will be having 6 YOE. >20L <25L its good at this point. Also, its purely base on your skills and how we negotiate. 2 YOE can also earn more than 20L in a IT base startup.

You're right about the 6 YOE. I was speaking to someone younger than me who just finished their MBA, they got offers of 22 LPA. Now I'm not sure if doing an MBA at this point in my career will help since I've learnt everything on the job.

What I think is under 10 YOE switch if we get better opportunity. Because after 10 YOE we have to anyhow settle. And myself trying to switch but no body is giving more than 30% hike they are strict about after lockdown. If you switch 3 4 times then salary would be as per standard. If we stay in same company it will always be below standard

WeekDay YC is looking for content head, they had 20 + ESOPs

Typically a Content Head has 10+ YOE. I have 6
