Is Mtech necessary to do after Btech.

I don't want to go towards MBA but parents want me to do Masters. Is Mtech good option after doing Btech also does Mtech people get more preference later on in career Also I feel that even after doing Mtech I will have to do DSA only to get a job and will be starting my job from sde 1 role only is that right ? Or I can apply for sde 2 directly. I have 1yr exp currently.

Please help me in this.

Useless for CSE folks I think, but make sense for core areas like ECE etc, that too when done from premier institutes. Also, all this talking for Indian degree. If your family net worth can allow you to go for foreign degrees (MS etc), then definitely worth it.

I am from IT / Cse only , so will Mtech be useful , I can't go abroad

MTech isn’t a must after BTech; what really counts is the skills you develop and how you apply them moving forward. With a year of experience, you're ahead of the game, and yes, DSA still plays a big role in most tech jobs. If you're feeling uncertain, talk to a mentor at Hiked.in and we’ll match you with mentors who’ve been there, done that, and are ready to help you grow with clarity and confidence.

If you are from a tier-3 college, going for MTech from a better college helps. If you already are from a college that you can get calls for interviews from good companies, MTech won't change much.

MBA is a very different thing, if you dont wanna be in software engineering then its a good choice.

It's good when you do it from top iits , there you get exposure and new opportunities. For ece, and other core jobs, mtech is a must from top colleges (where placements are more). I am planning to join some iit this year with gate cse.
