Is LtiMindtree Scam or what?

Appeared for 2 virtual technical interviews, one F2F interview and a virtual HR interview. Cleared all of them and uploaded all the relevant documents in their portal. Then had a call with HR about offer letter release and she said positions are filled and offer is on hold. They will update once they have something for me.

Why do the companies are doing this by wasting our time and efforts? This is really disappointing from them.
