Is layoffs still happening? Should 1 year experienced switch or wait?

What should I do as 1 year experience. As many companies are laying off I get demotivated,but my 4 lpa salary is not enough for paying my 4x+ loan amount so I am thinking often to switch but get demotivated due to market situation. Please guide me from your experience that what should I do now? Wait or try?

Try and try. When you have 1-2 offers in hand then resign.

But It is too early for making a switch.
