Is It Worth Pursuing Salesforce Admin Certification? Need Career Advice

Hello Everyone,

I’m currently working in data analysis, Excel automation, and Power BI, with some hands-on experience in Python and SQL. Coming from a non-technical background, I’ve learned all my skills through on-the-job experience and online resources.

Lately, I’ve been considering a shift and looking into the Salesforce Admin certification. I have a few questions: • Is the Salesforce Admin certification worth pursuing? • What’s the scope of Salesforce roles in companies like TCS? • Will it open doors to good project opportunities? • Is it a smart move to shift from Power BI to Salesforce?

I’d really appreciate insights or guidance from those who have made similar transitions or are working in Salesforce.

Thanks in advance!

Certification helps, only if you are grinding in the field and have projects to showcase yourself. Otherwise it's just a paper showing you know something. It's what you do post getting certification that matters.

I agree, certification is just a start. Do you think switching to Salesforce and building career is a good decision?

Yes definitely, see you sir aren't just a sales force engineer you know power BI as well as other tech. See alot of people say "jack of all trades is a master of none" but there is more to that saying which I am sure you are aware of. Companies are looking for that. So don't sell yourself short.

Tcs kinda breaks confidence and inculcates self doubt what is good and what not. Always remember to trust your skills upskill and be the best rest will follow.

Good Sir go for it and leverage both these skills to jump and then explore and expand your skills. I am pretty sure you have completed more than 2 years of experience with TCS to be this good and focused. So get the certification build small projects create a good resume apply and jump. Better prospects await you.
