Please know that joining as a SDE1, it will take 1.25-1.5 year in best case scenario to get promoted to SDE2 (this is very very optimistic case), probably will take 2 years in normal case

I am a sde1. I also joined with around 9months of prior experience assuming I could get fastracked promotion. But reality hit me hard🙂

Very much worth it. Not everyone has the opportunity to join Amazon as a SDE. Join as SDE 1, work smart, get to SDE 2 quickly within your 5-6 years of experience.
