Trending @Infosys; Is it true that they are calling pip folks for discussion and asking for pip or voluntary resignation and if you go for pip they will still terminate you , its just way of getting rid of work force

@MediumGauge7 : Are you from HR or Manager(with authority to assign PIP)?

There is a reason this app is called grapevine!! To your question have spent enough time in system to know how it works. And can give objective advices instead of emotional ones.

I seen most your comments on PIP related post. Sorry ,None of your comments seems to be objective but justifying and glorifying PIP.

Ohh, don't worry bro, if such a condition occurs, I think resignation with 3 month's salary is the best option, you will definitely get the opportunity quickly as other companies are also hiring after March end

When you are called for discussion after just receiving the ER related pip mail or after three or four months of receiving the pip mail you are called for a discussion.I have got pip mail in Feb but no discussion happened till now.Currently I'm in a billable project for two months now.if anyone in the same situation also received the HR discussion can you let me know of when and how they are approaching for HR discussion

Strange that you are in PIp but there was no HR discussion. Which kind of means your manager initiated before hr could come down and force. I am assuming you ar relatively safe then as long as you achieved your PIp goals.

Yes it’s true some folks who have NI rating and irrespective of whether they are on bench or project are being called for PIP discussion. Primary target seems to be high salaried laterals recruited during COVID.
No it’s not true that taking PIP will lead to termination. It will depend on your goals. If you clear them you will be retained. PIP is always there in Infosys and there are enough folks in past who cleared their PIP. But all depends on the type of goals being set , so take a decision once you hear the PIP goals from your manager. Insist on that during PIP discussion. If they don’t disclose PIP goals during the meeting let them know you will take a call once PIP goals are provided. To an extent it depends on your manager whether he will clear yiurbPIP goals. Following folks should take PIP.

  1. They are on a new project and under new manager. If you are performing average without any complaints they will clear you. As you are billable. 2 Your existing manager has offline reached out to you an given you an indication that he will keep you if you perform well. If manager is being indifferent to you don’t take PIP that’s an indication he plans to chuck you out.
  2. Your goals seem realistic and achievable like some certifications , 10 point increase in DQ score. If you have something like win hackathon then you know you are being set up to fail.

Typically PIP was used to chuck out folks who are completely rebellious not attending office or work, totally inefficient or could not justify the skill set on the resume. But this year the story will be slightly different. So take a call based on your current situation

Bro my manager is the worst manager , she asked me to resign saying that we'll create tough task as it's instructions from above you won't be able to clear it.Find accelarate task which is impossible in infosys, increase dq by 100 or above and certification.as well as when I said that I'll go ofc then I'll resign she said you can do it from home as well put papers how cheap she can be.
She'll definitely get wat she's giving me right now.she said that better to search new job bla bla....if I got this opportunity to leave infosys with 3 months salary I would've done....lol 15 years and in the same company....I was enough confident to take pip but his words like I'll be the person to review you again you'll not be able to clear make me to resign. I did resigned finally. Note: if you're choosing pip keep one thing in your mind how is your manager.if she herself said words like this resign don't choose pip.they just didn't left any hope.

Really feel sorry for you after spending 15 years this is how it ended. Not trying to rub salt. But so that it helps others what do you thinking happened over last one year which lead to this. What would you have done different if given a chance to go back a year. And I am sincerely praying that good folks like you will get help from almighty !!
