Is it true that C2 to C3A promotion will reduce take home salary? Any thoughts

Tcs is only company where employees dont want promotion due to variable pay reduction for higher levels

It is true..along with significant reduction in variable, your annual increments would also reduce compared to C2. Not the ideal scenario but keep getting A/B in C2 and switch..Beyond C2, you are just fat for TCS which they want to squeeze as much as possible.
