Is it too late to start a clothing brand?
There are already too many players in the fashion industry. Every brand tries to put out unique designs on their T-shirts, hoodies, etc.
Will it make sense to start another such business? Maybe not from the perspective of building a big brand, but just making money.
Watching shark tank has made me realise that if you spend significant amount on marketing, you can get sales.

I’ve personally known people who’ve failed at it. It’s a very cash intensive business. Just marketing will NOT get you sales in this particular business. And just to give you some idea of the unit economics, most of the players in the market operate at a 3x margin.
Never too late to start if you are passionate and have the acumen :)
It's never too late to start any business as long as the economy is growing. If there is a slowdown, not recession just slowdown from the current 7% to 5%, that's when the heat is felt.
Established players will eat the ones with little margin.
If you spend a significant amount on marketing you can get sales.
But it won't be sustainable in the long term IMO unless you have a USP and you are open to change/tweak the USP as per the market needs.
