Is it safe to share company name of the offer that I am holding with another company I am expecting an offer from?

I am in offer negotiation stage with SAP and I shared my currently held offer letter with them as per their request but I blacked out the company details in the offer. But now they are requesting me to unhide the blacked out parts. Do you think it is safe to share the name of the company who have made the previous offer?

Yes it is safe, it is more of a norm. Just that it feels so wrong, and those guys asking for offer doc, should actually be fine with blanked out copy; OR, they can ask for it after releasing their own offer letter first. But just taking of the “safe” part, yes it is safe. Those HRs don’t go around bitching, it is pointless and makes no sense to do.
