Is it required to pay notice period deduction?

Hello, so I recently quit UKG after just 2 months and my FnF states that I owe UKG 84,000 as part of the notice period deduction. Should I pay or not? Please note I don't give fk about their experience certificate even if they provide or not. My next company also doesn't care about my experience certificate from them.

Any advice?

But why ? Do they actually have any leverage. The reason I am avoiding this is that I read there is tax implications where I am double taxed or something.
