Is it possible to jump from 5 LPA to 50 LPA ?

I have 3 years of experience as sdet will a company give me a package of 40-50 LPA directly or is there any company norms to give minimum hike with respect to the last package?

Why stop at 40-50 lacs? Why not directly jump from 5 LPA to 2 Cr PA? You can ask for direct promotion from SDET to CTO of the company 😄

It's not about any company directives but about your ability to display and prove value. So it takes time.

The companies always give a package on 3 things -their budget & band for which they are hiring. -your qualification, interview. (There are cases when a candidate is solid, his/her existing & expectation on salary is higher than the budget. The hiring manager really wants the candidate and can go to ask for what max can be done) -your existing pay.

I have witnessed folks getting at high as 70-100% jump and as low as 10% hike. All depends on your capabilities.
