Can someone please help me with this , I'm confused whether I can resign during the PIP? If so what will be the notice period?

If you have another offer to join, it is the best thing to do. First resign and ask for waive off the notice period. It may or may not get waived off. But you are successful without waiting for BOTP excercise. Many BOTP cases end up as unsuccessful. You will never like to be part of this outcome.
