Is it okay to gift my manager upon leaving the company?
Hey Folks,
I am on notice and leaving the company in couple of weeks. I am in a good rapport with my manager and he is a nice human being both professionally as well as a person. Is it okay to gift something as a sign of gratitude?

One of my colleagues in my previous company gave his manager a wrist watch I think it was a cool idea. Plus he kept his doors open in case he wanted to come back :p
Depending on your budget, a nice bottle of alcohol is also considered a classy gift (unless your manager is a teetotaller). Other ideas could be a branded shirt, some management / leadership books, a personalised memento to be kept on work desk
