Is it ok to switch from Java to AI/ML after 6 YOE as Java Developer?

Hi , I have been working as a Java Developer Backend with 6 YOE. Is it ok if I switch from Java to Python at this point of career as AI Engineer. What would be my job options considering my previous experience?
